Base Descriptions

The best thing about this base is that the gold storages and elixir storages are safely placed in the center of the base where most people can’t reach. Also, the Defensive buildings on this base are evenly distributed which makes the base strong from all sides of the base. The important defensive buildings of the base like Mortar, Wizard Tower and Air Defense are kept in different compartments safely so that opponent can’t take them out easily. The Archer Towers are placed in such way in which they can pretty much cover the whole base, hence this base performs pretty good against air attacks.

The base has a lot of compartments which slows down opponents Giants and other troops as once they broke through a wall there’s another wall right after that, this makes it hard for opponents to get through walls. By the time opponent’s troops like giants breakthrough walls, their health will be less than half because of the high damage dealing splash buildings like wizard tower and mortar. The cannon outside the walls is there because you get very limited wall at Town hall 5, so I had to put it there but surprisingly that cannon actually helped me a lot in defending as opponent’s giants will get distracted by that cannon and they wouldn’t go where the opponent wants them to go because giants attack defensive buildings first, so that outside cannon helped in increasing defensive ability of this base. On top of that, i placed two traps in front of that cannon so that every time opponents giant go for that cannon they will first have to go through those traps which takes out pretty much half of opponents giants.

This base is Anti Giant Wizard, Anti BARCH, Anti Giant Barb. Since the Air Defense in the base is placed in the center of the base, it is well protected to protect against air attacks like Balloon Parade and other air attacks. The traps are placed in the right spots as well which counters attacks like BARCH, Goblins and Giant wizard attacks. It can also defend against some newly upgraded Town hall 6 attackers with ease. So, overall in this base layout all the defensive buildings are well placed, hence, this base can easily defend against any Air attacking and Ground Attacking strategy at Town Hall 5.

BEST DEFENSIVE CLAN CASTLE TROOPS COMBINATIONS 

Using clan castle troops for defending your base is highly recommended as they can put the attacker in trouble by distracting them. Even though the base alone is sufficient to stop most of the attacks used by Town Hall 5 attackers, using the clan castle can help a lot. At Town Hall 5 you can get Maximum of 15 housing space in your clan castle, here are some of my recommendations for CC troops combinations for defense at Town Hall 5 :-

• 1 Valkyrie + 1 Wizard + 3 Archers (Recommended)
• 1 Baby Dragon + 1 Wizards + 1 Archers
• 1 Witch + 3 Archers

Since most people can’t get these troops from their clans, you can also use other troop combinations which are easily available like all wizards, all balloons or any other troop combination but i highly recommend you to have above-mentioned troops for best defensive experience at Town Hall 5.
